This is the NOW (150x150cm, digital work, 2017)
I often choose my topics based on random images that I collect from the net. It's a process of continuous selection and purging through tons of material.
Wish I knew You sooner, (150x150cm, digital work, 2017)
Choosing to represent assorted fragments of different universes creates a web of weak and strong symbolic connections: monkeys and fashion, fish and dancing under palm trees.
This all speaks about the relativity of our perceived reality.
Aim to the Heart _ 150x150cm_digital work_2017
Aiming high or aiming low, the heart is not always where we suspect it might be.
I love tackling issues of belief and habit within my paintings.
It's a challenge of grinding down my own deep-felt beliefs.
Swarm - 2012 - digital work, Telekom Art Collection
For this digital work, the artist was curious to see how a perceived point of view could be ever-so-slightly skewed to reveal new meaning. When in fact you notice that the fish swarm around the diver are in fact Snickers-bars, it's already too late.
A diver plunged into a school of fish that circle around him is a spectacular sight. Through this image, the artist is questioning our conventional perception by altering, through digital manipulation, the immediate reality of the image.
This work is part of the Telekom Art Collection since 2012.

Turning Tricks_ 100x100 cm_digital montage_ 2015_JPG
Out of a vivid and eye-scratching background - made up of flowers, fruits and other table-cloth-like imagery - two dolphins and a Bear emerge eerily floating as if to say "we defy gravity".
The work "Camaro Bear" is made of kitchy colored plastic table tops, plastic pink and white roses covered in glitter, plastic funeral flowers and textile materials that the artist has recovered from his uncle after his passing. The two dolphins were part of the same beach towel and the bear has been cut out from a cheap kitchy blanket.
The entire scene radiates with kitch to the utmost level and this is precisely the point that the artist wanted to bring across : our taste has so much to do with what we experience and what the surrounding conditions of our environment are.
