Choosing to represent assorted fragments of different universes creates a web of weak and strong symbolic connections: monkeys and fashion, fish and dancing under palm trees. This all speaks about the relativity of our perceived reality.

Aiming high or aiming low, the heart is not always where we suspect it might be. I love tackling issues of belief and habit within my paintings. It's a challenge of grinding down my own deep-felt beliefs.
Swarm - 2012 - digital work, Telekom Art Collection
For this digital work, the artist was curious to see how a perceived point of view could be ever-so-slightly skewed to reveal new meaning. When in fact you notice that the fish swarm around the diver are in fact Snickers-bars, it's already too late. A diver plunged into a school of fish that circle around him is a spectacular sight. Through this image, the artist is questioning our conventional perception by altering, through digital manipulation, the immediate reality of the image. This work is part of the Telekom Art Collection since 2012.
